Circa 1800, burl walnut veneers, yellow pine secondary, with an English brass face labeled "J. Nicholson Whitehaven," with date dial, Roman and Arabic numerals, applied spandrels, the hood with broken arch pediment later brass finials and rosettes, fully-turned and filter columns, hinged waist door featuring burlwood veneers, flanked by fluted quarter columns, base with applied molding above a quadrant panel with bookmatched burl veneers, on ogee bracket feet, with pendulum and one weight.

Later finials and rosettes; tight shrinkage cracks to left and right side of hood; later hood glass door; left rear foot with hairline crack and repair; left and right front feet with lower half inch tipped; the case leans forward causing the waist door to open.
