Diana Mendoza studied at the Escuela National de Bellas Artes in Peru. She is highly revered for her religious paintings that blend European and Peruvian and Spanish Colonial styles and techniques.

This painting is a copy of the Italian Renaissance masterpiece by Sandro Botticelli, circa 1487, now housed at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.

Some craquelure, flaking, and surface grime over intentional aging.
