Originally from Iowa, Ms. Troutman began painting at the age of 45 when she received a fellowship at The Art Students League of New York. She settled with her husband in Mebane where she continues painting and established a garden for the visually impaired. In October 2019, the Mebane Arts & Community Center mounted a solo show of her work, "New Beginnings Again - Paintings by Jill Troutman."

Painting is in good estate condition, some wear to frame edges.
