Serial number 3534, an under lever breech loader made in 1873 for Raleigh C. Thomas of Baltimore, Maryland, 28.25 in. barrels marked "STEPHEN GRANT 67A ST JAMES'S ST. LONDON," the walnut stock fitted with fancy engraved hardware, the lockplates being marked "S. GRANT," various accessories are included such as the gun's cleaning rod; with its original fitted leather case embossed with the owner's name and retaining the maker's prominent label on the lid's underside.
