Born in Belgium, Henri Masson emigrated to Canada with his family in 1921. He was inspired to study art after viewing work by The Group of Seven at the National Gallery of Canada. He was a talented artist, whose work was represented by prominent galleries and exhibited extensively during this lifetime.
