Born in Windsor, Georgia, Myrtle Jones was inspired to start painting when she moved to Savannah in 1943. She worked in a contemporary impressionist style and exhibited at prominent venues such as the Telfair Academy of Art in Savannah and the High Museum in Atlanta.

Good estate condition; some wear to frame gilding.
