Size 6 7/8 label on interior sweatband, its blue felt shell fitted with a hexagonal fluted spike on an oak leaf base; the front with a large American eagle and shield hat plate; leather band fitted brass roundels stamped with crossed rifles designating infantry.

Small areas of discoloration to sweatband; gilt losses to left roundel; felt cover intact with no signs of mothing; some minor splits and losses to leather rim along the bottom; overall very good condition.
