Attributed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, circa 1830, mahogany veneers, white pine and poplar, asymmetrical shaped and relief carved crest rail, interior scroll with rosette, the right arched arm with relief acanthus carving, the circular left arm with relief carved stylized rosette, convex veneered seat rail, raised on carved paw feet with acanthus and fruit motif, on casters.

From the Washington Family and used at Mount Vernon during the mid 19th century.
Nice diminutive size.
Later gold floral upholstery, the scrolled right arm with staining; veneer loss to back left and right side rails; veneer chip and loss to front left and right panels above knee; six-inch molding loss to exterior rim of left arm rosette.
