Attributed to Virginia, circa 1800, poplar and white pine secondary, two part form, upper dovetailed case with applied cove molded cornice, two hinged figured walnut paneled cabinet doors with a molded frame, shelved interior, bottom dovetailed case with applied waist molding, four graduated cock beaded drawers featuring figured walnut (the first, third and fourth drawer in veneer, the second in the solid) drawer fronts, shaped figured vertical veneered skirt with upper inlaid band, French bracket front feet.

81 x 45 x 20 in.; Upper case width 40.5 in.

White chalk signatures inside of case.

Vertical twelve-inch cut/patch/repair to left and right rear side case; later brass plates on top of drawer glides; drawer runners rebuilt; pulls are original and in original holes; no key; third drawer with tight hairline crack by escutcheon; cock beading loss to second drawer; the top drawer with tight shrinkage hairline crack near escutcheon and missing escutcheon.
