Brass and gold bullion construction, these affixed with two rank bars (one missing with its outline remaining) plus a raised regimental "4" and a Paris-made gilt officer's button on a screw post. Included is a fitted japanned tin box and a 2nd lieutenant's shoulder strap with a paper cut-out 2nd Corps clover badge sewn to its field.
