The first a paneled lid over a tapered rectangular coffer form with mahogany veneer and inlaid escutcheon, opening to two compartments (5.25 x 7.75 x 4.5 in.) (lid rim and base rim to the posterior left corner, interior with remnants of paper lining); the second an oval form with maple veneer and banded inlay to upper and lower rim, ring pull finial (5 x 5.75 x 3.25 in.) (scattered scuffs and veneer cracks to lid and body with associated paint touch ups, interior with wear to surface, underside with wear and loss to fabric, ring pull is loose, no key).
