Deaccessioned from and being sold to benefit the Acquisition Fund of the Weatherspoon Art Museum, UNC Greensboro

Gifted to Weatherspoon Art Museum in 1976 by Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Dorsky.

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, he became a noted abstract painter in the New York art scene from 1958 when he, Bob Thompson, and Red Grooms founded City Gallery. Milder's work was influenced by Abstract Expressionism, and in particular by the abstract work of Chaim Soutine.

Good estate condition, some wear to frame.
