Richards, 12th Independent Battery Regiment, New York, at Albany, June 14, 1865, Richards having been captured at Petersburg, Virginia the previous year; The Union Hymn Book (New York: Evangelical Alliance, 1861), inscribed by a George S. Scott with New York soldier cdv, possibly postwar and unidentified; Connecticut State Seal patriotic postal cover mailed from New Orleans, August 12, 1862.

The discharge exhibit deep browning; overall good condition.
