This lot is accompanied by a letter on Southern Folk Pottery Collectors Society letterhead signed by Billy Hussey stating that this very large lion "....was hand sculpted in 1979 at the request of John D. Querry. This is the largest of about three that were made during this time period."
Firing stress cracks as follows: underside belly, right rear leg, left front leg, left flank.
