Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Inspired by her trip to Africa, this tapestry evokes hazy sunlight filtering through a tall shade tree, in hues of olive, periwinkle, cornflower blue, and pale yellow, signed to verso, with wood wall hanging strip and eyelets.

66 x 65 in.

Purchased directly from the artist.

Born in Basel, Switzerland, Heyden studied at the School of Arts in Zürich, where she built a strong foundation in color theory. She and her husband lived in many places, but considered Durham, North Carolina home. It was here that Heyden would wander along the Eno River, finding inspiration in the sounds of the water and woods that she would translate into the flowing colors of her tapestries.

Good condition.
