19th century, Edinburgh, painted metal face with second and date subsidiary dials marked Jas Paterson / Edinburgh; the hood with a foliate carved and hood with a circular brass and glass hinged door flanked by quarter columns, the case with incised foliate decoration, shaped hinged waist door, flower design lower panel on turned feet, with pendulum and two weights.
