Laurie Kersey lives and paints on the Monterey Peninsula. Her formal studies were completed at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She is a Signature Member of the California Art Club, Oil Painters of America, and the American Impressionist Society. She is also a Master Signature Member of American Women Artists and an Artist Member of the American Academy of Equine Art.

She has exhibited extensively in numerous juried exhibitions, most recently in 2020 at the Booth Museum in Cartersville, Georgia for Making Their Mark, American Women Artists National Juried Exhibition, and at the Hilbert Museum for the California Art Club 109th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition.
