Circa 1800, likely English, mahogany figured veneers, each featuring a hinged shaped lid with conforming base, interior with nautical inlaid star to underside of lid and herringbone light and dark wood inlay to underside edge of lid and to divided utensil interior, applied brass pull, escutcheon, and handles.

One box with shrinkage crack at top and center of lid; the second box with crack and split to right rear side of lid; both with some corner edge ebonized inlay loss and cockbeading wear.
