Circa 1880, comprising three frolicking children amongst classical ruins around a smiling herm, raised on an oval gilt-relief decorated base, underside with incised marks (G32) and blue pommel crossed swords.

Herm is loose from its square base; left side boy and girl with finger loss; loss to handles of flower basket and chips to leaves therein; break and loss to branch at rear; loss of glaze to rear of herm with some paint restoration; rear drapery on Classical bust with textural accretion; chip to edge of red jacket; crack to fallen column; small firing stress lines to the upper base surface and two to the underside.
