Attributed to Maryland or Virginia, late 18th century, shaped crest with carved and scrolled ears, pierced and scrolled back splat set within a solid molded shoe, upholstered slip seat, flush seat rails, cabriole legs with shaped knee return and ball and claw front feet, the claw with distinctive carved knuckles and talon including rear talon.
