First the candlesticks, circa 1970's, Elegant Baldwin maker's mark to underside, tapered baluster form on an octagonal base, one candlestick retains commemorative bicentennial felt label "American Independence 1776-1976."; second, a three volume set of Plutarch's Lives, vol. II, III, VII, printed in 1810 by S. Hamilton, Weybridge.
