A Virginia Collector

Nicholas Pocock was an English artist who specialized in maritime and landscape painting. He completed extensive preparatory research for his compositions, particularly his naval scenes. Pockock exhibited at the Royal Academy, and he eventually became the official Marine Painter to King George III.
