Frederic was an English painter and etcher of figure subjects and landscapes. He was educated at Deal and in Chelsea, studying at the St. John's Wood Art School, The Royal Academy and in Paris at the Academie Julian. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1893, and other leading galleries at home and abroad. He was a member of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolors, the Institute of Painters in Watercolors, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, and the National Portrait Society.
