Circa 1890, silverplate and brass face with moon dial, and subsidiary second dial, the face marked Elite, the back plate of the works marked W&H, Sch, Germany, well developed case with removable hood, the hood featuring a shaped and beveled glass hinged door, relief carved with winged griffins, acanthus scrolls, lion masks, dolphins and a bacchanalian figure, hinged waist door with oval beveled glass pane, with three brass weights, case key and pendulum, flush base.
