Also known as The Pegasus Vase, this example is produced in black basalt with gilt bas relief figures depicting the Apotheosis of Homer, as well as featuring a Pegasus finial, Medusa mask handles, and anthemion design to the pedestal, raised on a square plinth. Marked in gilt on the underside and dated 1999.
