The three-quarter yellow gold hoops each set to front with an applied scalloped white gold band set with oval cabochon sapphires (6.0 x 4.0 mm) weighing approximately 1.50 total carats and an oval cabochon emerald (6.0 x 4.5 mm) weighing approximately 1.0 total carat, within a surround of full cut round diamonds weighing approximately 1.60 total carats (G-H color, VS-SI clarity), completed with posts and omega clip backs, stamped 750 and with Italian assay mark 512 AR.

Dobie D. Hogan was a print and runway model in Norfolk, Virginia who began her career in New York working for the Paris designer Mainbocher in the 1950s, and in the 1970s, she was voted "Best Dressed Woman" of Hampton Roads, Virginia. Her lifelong love of jewelry and substantial collection began with her fashionable mother, Louise Jenkins Driver, and developed over Hogan's long involvement with the industry.
