Manual wind with seventeen jewels, the trapezoid shaped case with bead set round cut rubies weighing approximately 2.50 total carats and with old European and single cut diamonds bead set in white gold to case and lugs weighing approximately .60 total carat (G-H color, VS clarity), the signed copper-tone dial with Arabic numerals and under convex crystal, completed with a triple strand snake band with fold over clasp stamped 14K and with safety chain, case stamped 14K and numbered 002190, movement marked 1929.

Dobie D. Hogan was a print and runway model in Norfolk, Virginia who began her career in New York working for the Paris designer Mainbocher in the 1950s, and in the 1970s, she was voted "Best Dressed Woman" of Hampton Roads, Virginia. Her lifelong love of jewelry and substantial collection began with her fashionable mother, Louise Jenkins Driver, and developed over Hogan's long involvement with the industry.

Rubies display a strongly purplish red hue, medium to medium dark tone, and strong saturation.
