Dobie D. Hogan was a print and runway model in Norfolk, Virginia who began her career in New York working for the Paris designer Mainbocher in the 1950s, and in the 1970s, she was voted "Best Dressed Woman" of Hampton Roads, Virginia. Her lifelong love of jewelry and substantial collection began with her fashionable mother, Louise Jenkins Driver, and developed over Hogan's long involvement with the industry.
