Clark, Walter, ed., "North Carolina Regiments, 1865 - '65," (Raleigh: The State of North Carolina, 1901), approximately 4,000 pages, five volumes, quarto (9.5 x 6 in.), pictorial gray linen boards emblazoned with a North Carolina state flag crossed with a Confederate battle flag. The first two volumes are signed "W. J. Kincaid Co. D. 11th N. C. Bethel Regiment." William Kincaid served as his company's captain through some of the hottest fights of the Civil War. He married after the war and lived until 1923.

Vol. I with insect damage to pages 123-133; Vol. II with taped endpapers; Vols. III-V internally crisp; the set in clear protectors and in good used condition.
