18th century, decorated in deep blue with the traditional design of peacock feathers arranged with flowers in a table top bowl, rimmed in yellow, the charger is marked on the underside with a drawing of a claw over "250", the smaller plates marked with the claw over "3."

The claw mark for original owner, Cornelius van der Hoeve, 1662-1702, often appeared as a rude drawing with a number beneath.

Charger: rim scrape of 2 1/2 inches; expected rim fritting. Small Plates: slight fritting; pock mark to center likely due to a glaze bubble.
