with a rebuilt 302 cubic inch V8 and C4 automatic transmission. The car was original a 6 cylinder car with 4 lug wheels, rear end, and drum brakes. It was purchased in 2015 and began a restoration for his wifes dream car. It had an incorrect 302 from a later Mustang, and it was rebuilt along with the C4 transmission. A V8 rear end with five lug wheels was sourced, and a donor front end from a Mach1 was sourced for a front end rebuild to include disc brakes. New 15" mag wheels with painted inserts were added with BFGoodrich tires. Everything was repaired or replaced.

As the body was sent to paint with an order to paint it Dupont Pepper Grey, the color of the car "Eleanor" in the movie Gone in Sixty Seconds. The finished car was darker than expected, and it appeared the paint shop used another brand of paint. The exterior of the car was repainted the correct Dupont Pepper Grey, with the jambs, engine compartment and trunk interior remaining in the darker shade. Both front floor pans were replaced at the time. The all Black interior was finished in all new products, and appears like new. The build was completed in 2018, and the ability to enjoy the car has escaped the owners. A modern digital radio has been added.

Some chips to paint and a crack on the trunk lid noted in pictures; accelerator pedal is absent; non original tachometer is inoperative; other instruments are intermittent. Attempt to repair, revealed inside of dash needs repair. Some rust present, and wiring is not correct; body filler present, with quarters and fenders were repaired; no other apparent concerns.
