Early 19th century, two part form, mahogany veneers, oak, mahogany and deal secondary, an applied dovetailed cornice featuring a shaped crest with central book-matched plinth above a vertically burl veneered frieze, two large hinged cabinet doors with inlaid arched mullions, brass trim to center door, three louvered shelves, upper and lower stiles with trefoil columns, the base with upper faux two-drawer fall front butler's drawer with a center satin wood inlaid prospect door with a shaped secret bottom drawer, flanked by two inlaid vertical document drawers, six satin wood drawers over six shaped valances (one of which is a drawer), leather writing surface, above three graduated long drawers with light and dark wood inlaid border, molded base, raised on turned spiral twist front feet.
