Gorov received fine arts training at the Moscow Arts Institute and became a member of the Union of Soviet Artists. He began exhibiting regionally about 1957, and his works can be found in the City Museum of Noginsk, Serpukhov State Art Museum, Ministry of Culture in Russian, and in private collections in Holland and England. Other alias names for the artist include Nikolay A Gorov and Nicolas Gorov.
