Research indicates that the maker is likely Jane Maddison McLaughlin, born in Topsham, Vermont to Harris E.G. McLaughlin (1771-1847) and Rebekah McLaughlin (née Stone) (1772-1859), and married to Joseph Lathem on July 7, 1833 in Chelsea, Vermont.
