Cyrus Afsary trained in the Russian Realist style and was much influenced by the Saqqakhaneh school of modern Iranian artists. He fled the country after the Iranian Revolution in 1979 and now makes his home in the American Southwest.

Areas of craquelure, some with lifting paint; yellowing to varnish; minor rubbing and staining to frame and liner.
