19th century, the first a continental tole chinoiserie urn, with gilt decoration and lion ring handles; the second a tole inkstand, sarcophagus form, with painted floral frieze and gilt linear border, four paw feet resting above a one drawer stand, the hinged lid opens to three circular wells behind a single brush well (6 x 6 1/4 x 4 in.); next are two miniature tole plinths, each with matching vase, with gilt floral and foliate decoration, marked Hampton to undersides (7 3/4 in.); the fifth a wood cylinder vase, with gilt chinoiserie decoration over a black ground (4 7/8 in.).
