19th century, first a wall shelf, with tole ripple fold curtain face, clad to an ebonized wood wall shelf (6 x 11 1/2 x 4 in.) (some bending and rubbing to tole surface); the gesturing figure in Spanish attire, polychrome and gilt decorated, with storage container mounted to verso, upon a round wooden base (17 3/4 in.) (figure's head in composition, some scattered wear and loss painted areas).
