Originally from Manchester, England, William Reginald Watkins immigrated to the United States in 1907. He eventually settled in Baltimore, Maryland where he taught for 48 years at the Maryland Institute College of Art. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Artists and a member of the National Society of Arts & Letters.
