Late 18th century, shaped crest rail with relief carved acanthus leaf edge, pierced and carved back splat, slip seat with later upholstery, straight front legs with molded corner, blind dovetailed stretcher base, rear down-swept legs, stamped "RS" to back seat rail.

35 x 22.25 x 18 in., seat height 14.5 in.

Legs likely cut-down (possibly from wear); later upholstered seat; tight cracks to back splat; tight cracks to front corners of the top of legs at seat rail; missing some glue blocks for seat support.
