Contemporary, the larger piece being a gray soapstone carving of a polar bear engaged with a hunter, the underside incised "E9 - 1164 / CHR (?)"; (12 in.) (six complete breaks repaired where the two figures are joined); the second piece being a small model of kayaker using natural materials, the stone base with an address and a "Created in Alaska" sticker (3-1/2 in. long) (as made).
