Late 19th century, the first a elaborately decorated cast iron frame, parent and child figural relief centered within a broken arch pediment, above a rectangular format frame set between to Corinthian style columns, with putti and dolphin lower register, British registry number to verso in casting (14 x 9 in; fits 4 x 5 3/4 in picture) (some rusting); the second a brass bookstand, the sides with pierced ornate scrolling motifs issuing from a centered figural head medallion (5 1/2 x 23 expanded; 13 in. compressed.) (some surface wear to expanding arms from use)
