Late 19th century, burlwood veneers, with ebonized molded wood edges, single drawer with ring pull to front, the top with two ebonized concave pen trays on either side of a shaped brass handle and two cubic cut glass inkwells; engraved plaque to top reads: Mr. Cha.^s Rowney / By The Scholars Of The / Congregational Sunday School / Dorchester, April 6th, 1879.
