26-1/2 in. blade with un-signed tang, copper habaki below a cast brass tsuba with chrysanthemum motifs; the grip sheathed in ray skin, fitted with chysantemum menuke and wrapped in cord below a pierced copper pommel; the wooden scabbard sheathed with protective leather and supporting one suspension ring.

Overall length 39 in.

Blade remains bright with no apparent nicks or dents, but has with minor oxidation; the brass and copper fittings have pleasing patinas; the ray skin fully exposed where the cord has slid upwards; the scabbard leather is intact, however has finish losses and scuffs throughout. Good estate condition.
