Both 19th century, the first a rectangular form, shaped brass escutcheon, brass ring handle pull to lid, opens to a divided paper lined interior, on a molded base with bracket feet (4 1/4 x 9 x 5 1/2 in.); the second a cubic form, with inlaid shield escutcheon, blue laid paper interior (4 1/2 x 5 x 4 1/8 in.).

Both with some scattered shrinkage cracks and surface wear to veneer; smaller with later paper and minor veneer wrinkling to interior left rim edge; no keys.
