Frederic Cozzens was a maritime painter, watercolorist, and illustrator from New York who was known especially for his yacht racing scenes. Cozzens completed illustrations for Harper's Weekly, and throughout his life he exhibited with the Boston Art Club, the Mystic Seaport Association, and the Brooklyn Art Association.

Overall good condition with some possible slight fading; several foxing marks; chipping to frame; not examined out of frame.
