The first a green devil's head mask, likely Mexican, fitted with horns and three teeth (18 in.) (surface wear, a fourth tooth is lost); the second, unknown origin, is a wooden cube carved and boldly painted to resemble an open-mouthed demon's head (10 x 12 x 14-1/2in.) ( some paint losses).

After studying in New York City at Parsons, he brought the big city art feel to Chapel Hill, North Carolina when he opened Somerhill Gallery in 1972.
