Geoffrey Lardiere graduated in 1973 from the College of Design at North Carolina State University. That same year, he was selected by John I. H. Baur, former director of the Whitney Museum of Art, to exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Art. He spent several years as an advertising art director in Los Angeles before accepting a professorship at Florida State University. He has been painting full time since 1983 and participated in hundreds of solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States.
