Caswell County, North Carolina, mid 19th century, mahogany, mahogany veneer, poplar and white pine secondary, concave pediment with flame mahogany veneer, upper cabinet with a central hinged mirror set within an ogee mahogany frame flanked by hinged recessed panel door, shelved interior with lower small drawer over two glove drawers, inset white marble top with old painted lettering to underside, the cabinet with two over three flush drawers with book matched figured mahogany veneers, rounded case front corners, flush sides on shaped straight bracket feet, the back of the chest and mirror with old painted lettering matching the lettering to the underside of the marble reading "ED 10"
