Mid-19th century, two arms and six sides, each with a shaped and relief carved crest, pierced and carved back splat set within a molded shoe, upholstered slip seat, molded seat rail, cabriole front legs with shell carved knee pronounced ball and claw foot.

Armchair 38.5 x 24 x 23 in.; Seat height 17.5 in.

A pleasing set of eight matched chairs with old and possibly original surface with warm brown patina; overall very good useable condition with tight joinery.

Three side chairs with cracks to back splats; one armchair with loss to one claw and talon, and tight hairline to back splat.
