Late 18th century, figured mahogany veneers, each case featuring an oval engraved silver medallion decorated with rearing stag within a floral and foliate wreath, the lid with banded veneer border set within a double line light and dark wood herringbone inlay, serpentine front with silver escutcheon, interior featuring a nautical star and herringbone inlay to underside of lid, divided inlaid cutlery panels.
